Semi Permanent Sydney — 2022

Creativity and design festival Semi Permanent returned to its hometown of Sydney in May 2022 following a two-year pandemic hiatus, celebrating two decades since its launch. Taking place at arts precinct Carriageworks as part of Vivid Sydney, Semi Permanent presented its biggest, most dynamic program to date, coupled with an enhanced visitor experience of workshops, panel discussions, performances and installations.

In my role as Global Creative Director, I oversaw all aspects of the festival, including talent curation, programming, visual identity, marketing, ticketing and production.

The talent lineup included musician and creative director Ta-ku, furniture and textile designer Jonathan Saunders, furniture and object designer Sabine Marcelis, architect Paul Cournet, Flamingo Estate founder Richard Christiansen, satirical news publication The Betoota Advocate, Les Benjamins creative directors Bunyamin and Lamia Aydin, photojournalist Mridula Amin, and visual artist Serwah Attafuah.

Partners included Destination New South Wales, Google, Samsung, Perion, Audi, and Deloitte Digital.
